Raymond Lee at WELBY Holistic Healing has been helping people recovering from facial pain and jaw pain successfully since 2005.
Facial pain and jaw pain can be elusive and difficult to treat, be it acute, simple or complex. Around 40% of the sensory and physical control section of the brain is dedicated to processing and controlling the face, tongue and throat. Facial and jaw symptoms can arise from local structures such as teeth, tongue, muscles, the temporomandibular (jaw) joint and the disc within the joint. However these symptoms can also be referred, or exacerbated by problems in your neck, upper and lower back and even as far distant as your calf muscles.
Other common conditions such as teeth clinching and grinding can also be a major contributor and may be aggravated by muscle imbalances, sleep apnoea, stress, anxiety and other emotional influences. Altogether, these can often trigger off the vicious cycle of a pain syndrome.
In order to treat your body as a whole, WELBY Holistic Healing runs extended long consultation and aims to thoroughly assess, identify and treat any contributing factors that might be causing your symptoms. We will work alongside with your doctor, dentist, specialists and other medical professionals involved to provide you the best of care and management.
