2025 FREE TAICHI for BENDIGO COMMUNITY by the Council & Goldfields Libraries

 

The Summer Fun + Games in the Mall program is back for 2025!

Join us for a series of free Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi sessions, hosted by WELBY Holistic Healing and sponsored by the City of Greater Bendigo Council. This is part of the Reactivate the Mall initiative, aimed at bringing vibrant energy to Hargreaves Mall and supporting local businesses.

Details:

  • Dates: Wednesday mornings, 8th, 15th, and 22nd January 2025
  • Time: 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM
  • Location: In the centre of Hargreaves Mall
  • Cost: Free!

Come along for a calming, rejuvenating experience and bring a friend or family member who might benefit from this program. Spread the word and let’s get the whole community moving and energised!

Weather Permitting:
This is an outdoor event. The session will be cancelled in the event of rain or extreme weather conditions (such as heat warnings) and will resume the following week, weather permitting.

Celebrate the 2025 Lunar New Year with Tai Chi Sessions!

The fun certainly does not stop with the Reactivate the Mall program! As part of the 2025 Lunar New Year festivities, WELBY Holistic Healing is invited to offer two more free Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi sessions for the community sponsored by the Goldfields Libraries.

Join us to experience the calm, balance, and flow of Tai Chi while celebrating the arrival of the new year!

    • Location: Kangaroo Flat Library (outdoor area)
  • Date 2: Saturday 1st February 2025
    • Time: 09:30 AM – 10:15 AM
    • Location: Bendigo Library Front Lawn (outdoor area)

Both sessions are free and open to all! Whether you’re new to Tai Chi or a seasoned practitioner, these gentle, energising movements will leave you feeling refreshed and centered. Bring along family and friends, and let’s share the joy of Lunar New Year together!

No Booking Required:
While booking is not necessary, the library kindly requests that you register in advance. This will allow them to notify you of any changes or updates, should there be any.

Get Moving for Healthy Aging Program (Bendigo/ Kangaroo Flat) MAY & JULY 2021

Come join us for a series of warm up exercises combining self body percussion/ massage to all your joints, vital pressure points and mobility exercises as we then gently ease into a flowing sequence of Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi (18 movements with breathing and movements based on Tai Chi concepts aiming to invigorate your body). These simple, direct, effective exercise sessions are suitable for all capacities. You will walk out feeling calm yet energised.

Exercises can be performed standing and seated. We will guide you through!

Tai Chi at Kangaroo Flat Library sessions are part of the Get Moving for Older Adults Program, so if you are over 60 and are interested or know anyone who are or will benefit from this fun program, please let them know and call Kangaroo Flat Library Ph: (03) 5447 8344 for booking.
